Glowing feedback from RD&E cancer patients


Cancer patients have heaped praise and appreciation on the staff at the Royal Devon & Exeter hospital for their kindness, understanding and professionalism.


Most of the feedback captured in the National Cancer Patient Experience Survey 2010 (published on 21 January 2011) about the quality of patient care provided by the RD&E was glowing.


Typical examples of patient comments in the survey include:

Director of Nursing & Patient Care Em Wilkinson-Brice said: "It is evident from what patients told us in this survey that every aspect of their experience and contact with our staff really does make a difference. It will be immensely rewarding for our staff to hear that our patients appreciate their dedication and skills. Feedback from our patients is also a valuable source to inform us how we can improve patient care and experience."
