A - Z Services - Hospital Radio

You are here: Home \ Patients & Visitors \ A-Z Services \ Hospital Radio

Hospital Radio Exeter provides a wide variety of entertainment, every day of the week, from our studios within the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital (Wonford). We now broadcast 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Our programmes can be heard via the Hospedia entertainment system on Radio Channel 1, via light-weight stereo headsets provided at every bed.

You can have a song request played by simply calling  on Exeter 40 20 20 (7pm - 9pm).  Patients and visitors can also make requests by filling in a request slip and posting it into our Request Box to be found outside the entrance to the Oasis Restaurant (within the Hospital building itself).

We have an extensive music library, providing a huge selection of ALL types of music. From Classical to Jazz, from Reggae to Rock, and from Country to the best loved ballads, not to mention the all time favourite show time songs of yester-year. Whatever your tastes, however long you've enjoyed music, we have something you'll enjoy!

We really are here for our patients.

Why not become a member of Hospital Radio Exeter?  You would need to complete a minimum 3 months probationary period and during this time you will be expected to visit patients in the hospital to collect song requests on a weekly bases.  Upon acceptance, a donation of a minimum £30.00 (payable annually) will be asked.
