How to make a complaint

We will always work hard to resolve your concerns as quickly as possible and to your satisfaction. But if we cannot you may wish to make a formal complaint. We investigate all complaints and we will advise you of the results of our investigation. We aim to respond in a positive way as your views and experiences will help us provide a better service for our patients and relatives in the future.

The RD&E welcomes people looking for work experience but as a busy Acute Hospital Trust we have a duty to ensure patients receive a high level of appropriate care so this puts some limits on the range of opportunities we can offer.

Freedom of Information Requests (FOI)


The Freedom of Information Act 2000 provides members of public with the right to request recorded information from public bodies. The Act stipulates that you must put your request in writing and provide us with your name and a correspondence address.
