There are no in-patient services at Heavitree.

Heavitree Hospital is located in Gladstone Road, Exeter, EX1 2ED (just behind the large Waitrose on Heavitree Road).
We encourage visitors to use public transport and other sustainable means of travel whenever possible.
The hospital is easily accessible using public transport.
- We are well served by local bus routes and a number of services stop near to the hospital.
- Exeter City Central Train Station is around 1 mile away.
- St David's Train Station is around 1.5 miles away.

The hospital is just under 1 mile from Exeter City Centre and takes approximately 15 minutes on foot.
Bike paths run throughout Exeter and the hospital site is easily accessible by bike. Bike parking is available.
Park and Ride
The Green (GRN) Park & Ride service which runs from both Matford (EX2 8FD) to Sowton (EX2 5GL) serves RD&E Heavitree, with stops adjacent to Waitrose and University of Exeter's St Luke's Campus.

Car parking onsite is limited, with a small paid car park.
Under section 7 of the Health and Medicines Act 1988 Hospitals were permitted and encouraged to introduce Income Generation schemes, to fund their services.
The current charges for the RD&E on site parking at Heavitree are as follows:
- 20 Minutes free parking
- £2.50 for up to two hours
- £4.50 for up to four hours
- £8.50 for all eight hours
- £26.00 for a weekly ticket
The RD&E Trust has provided free parking for patients attending the Wonford and Heavitree sites for regular treatment, for a number of years. The main, although not exclusive, areas that we currently provide free parking for are:
- Cancer Services
- Renal Dialysis
- Paediatric Oncology
- Neonatal Unit
- Disabled badge holders
In addition, free parking is given to parents who are resident at the hospital as a result of their children being inpatients or who have individual requirements warranting special consideration.
An a la carte sandwich bar serving a wide range of freshly made sandwiches and baguettes (made to order), baked jacket potatoes, pasties, cakes and a selection of hot & cold beverages.
Currently open to patients, visitors and staff - eat in or take away.
There are attractive gardens with seating that you are welcome to use.
A pay phone is available at the Hospital Main Entrance.
