Bank workers are eligible to apply for any study days or courses provided by the Learning and Development Centre.
It is the individual responsibility of all bank workers to attend mandatory / essential training annually for which payment is made.
Registered nurses are expected to attend an annual drug administration update, which is paid. Midwives have additional essential training days, which are paid
Auxiliary Training Course
Application
The auxiliary training course is run three times a year and is open to anyone who wants to get a “foot in the door to nursing”. Application is as outlined previously. The requests for the Auxiliary Training Course are vast therefore when short-listing a good education and a well-presented application form with a detailed explanation of why you want to become an auxiliary is essential.
Course content
The course includes theory and practice. You will spend some time in the classroom and some placed on wards within the hospital. The course covers all aspects of the auxiliary role as well as the skills needed to fulfil the duties required.
