RD&E appoints new non-executive director to the team

Michele Romaine

Michele Romaine has been appointed to the RD&E Board from 1st September 2012 bringing a wealth of experience in public sector organisations, change and operational management.

Now based in Dulverton, Michele has held a number of senior roles in public sector organisations including the BBC as its Director of Production. Ten years ago Michele helped steer the course for the BBC in a time of significant change setting the vision for the technology, people and the process change necessary to modernise the BBC’s Production capabilities.

On her appointment Michele Romaine said: “I spent part of my BBC career as a journalist on Spotlight based in Plymouth and I am delighted to be back in the South West and contributing to such a vital local organisation. I’m really looking forward to getting to know the RD&E better and using my experience of large public sector organisations that are undergoing big changes, helping to develop better processes and services that will be well-placed to face future challenges.”

Michele has more recently served three years as a non-executive director on the Board of Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust until her move to Devon with her husband a year ago. She continues to travel internationally through her consultancy business.
