MEGA lungs walk-through experience

MEGA lungs walk-through experienceA pair of 12ft-high inflatable lungs will be visiting the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital for one day only, on Monday 26th November, as part of lung cancer awareness month.

The walk-through MEGA lungs are approximately 12 feet high by 15 feet wide by 10 feet long and will be open to visitors outside the main entrance from 08.30am to 4.00pm. The MEGA lungs show how our lungs are constructed and what they look like when damaged by diseases such as asthma, pneumonia and cancer.

The aim of the event is to raise awareness of the common signs and symptoms of the UK’s biggest cancer killer and improve early diagnosis of the disease. Specialist nurses and stop smoking advisers will be on hand all day to give advice on how to keep your lungs healthy and to answer any queries or concerns about lung disease.
