Bramble ward benefits from Tesco store refresh
The Bramble Ward at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital is delighted to benefit from the refresh of the Tesco Express store in Heavitree, when the store officially re-launched to customers.
Bramble Children’s Ward staff Sister Lynda Ahmed, and staff nurses Heather Draper and Vicky
Bowles were recently at the Tesco Express store in Heavitree to accept a £1,000 donation from Store Manager Adam Williams.
Bramble ward at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust has 45 beds and caters for young patients up to the age of 16 years. Staff on the unit, including doctors, nurses, play specialists, dieticians and physiotherapists, work together to provide high quality care for sick children with a diverse range of conditions and needs.
Lynda said: “I would like to thank Tesco for the donation, it is hugely appreciated. We intend to use the money to purchase a portable oxygen saturation monitor. Oxygen Saturation Monitors enable medical staff to accurately assess the pulse rate and oxygen saturation of a patient.”
Store Manager Adam said: “We are so pleased to be able to support the Bramble Ward, as they provide vital care for poorly children in the Heavitree and Exeter community.”
