Fulfilled and engaged staff, whose diversity is accepted and valued, make for a more productive workforce and better patient care. Our diversity, with our different backgrounds and experiences, also makes the workplace richer and helps us better serve patients from diverse backgrounds.
That’s why I am pleased to introduce “Our Commitment To You” – a series of webpages which will spell out our commitment to staff across the equality characteristics. We also have personal stories from staff, saying what diversity means to them. There are pages on disability, race and religion, with more on the way.
