Target Reporting Times
Urgent requests – 3 days
PCR-based tests where the result is needed urgently for prenatal diagnosis.
Known mutation tests or direct tests – 4 weeks (20 working days)
PCR-based tests where the familial mutation is known, specific mutation tests or gene tracking by microsatellite analysis.
Mutation screening – 8 weeks (40 working days)
All routine non-urgent tests.
Please note that the reporting times quoted start from when we receive the sample and are specific to our laboratory. They may not represent the reporting times of the laboratories to whom we export samples for tests not performed by us.
