Peninsula Clinical Genetics Service

Welcome to the Peninsula Clinical Genetics Service. We offer a regional service to the South West Peninsula of the UK with regular Consultant and Genetic Counsellor clinics taking place across Devon and Cornwall.

Clinical Genetics is the medical specialty which provides a diagnostic service and "genetic counselling" for individuals or families with, or at risk of, conditions which may have a genetic basis. Genetic disorders can affect any body system and any age group. The aim of Genetic Services is to help those affected by, or at risk of, a genetic disorder to live as normally as possible. The PCGS receives referrals from all parts of Devon and Cornwall and from a variety of health professionals. The main office is based at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, Heavitree and there are satellite offices in Plymouth and Truro. Please see our website for further details.
