SUPPORT GROUPS
Exeter Myeloma Support Group and Exeter Lymphoma Support Group
The groups provide a series of lively, friendly and supportive meetings to which patients with myeloma or lymphoma, and their relatives are very warmly welcome.   The meetings are informal and provide a place to meet and get to know other people with similar disorders,  and their families,  for exchanging information and experiences.
Additionally each has a Christmas meal out together and a summer meal/gathering.
They also have more formal meetings to include talks on relevant subjects, with a presentation and discussion afterwards.  Topics are very varied and cover such things as Diet, Exercise, Pain Management, Research, Complimentary Therapies, and Relaxation.
Meetings are held monthly in the Yarty Reception area: Myeloma Support on the last Wednesday between 6:30 and 8:00 pm and Lymphoma on the second Wednesday of each month 7pm to 8:30pm  The meetings are usually attended by a specialist nurse and Tania Davidson , ELF Haematology Support Specialist/Counsellor.
Tania is available on 01392 402897

Many patients are treated within clinical trials and there are 2 part time research nurses that help facilitate this. Haematology Counselling and Support Service
