The West of England Eye Unit known as WEEU is situated within the Wonford hospital by the main entrance.

 

WEEU Out Patient Department (OPD)

The outpatient department consists of 10 consulting rooms, orthoptic suite, Laser suite, photography and glaucoma suites.  Click here for more information.

 

WEEU Day Case Department

WEEU has its own day case area called Parkerswsell DCU and is situated off the main corridor at F or through from WEEU OPD. It has 12 day case chairs for predominantly cataract surgery though we are progressively undertaking more procedures as a day case. Click here for more information.

 

Glaucoma Unit

There is a dedicated Glaucoma unit at the RD&E WEEU. we also have a mobile glaucoma clinic which visits communities across Devon. Click here for more information

 

Ophthalmic Emergency Department Service

The ophthalmic Emergency service is a nurse practitioner run service operating 7 days a week 365 days a year led by a Staff Grade Ophthalmologist. Click here for more information.
