Leading the Way on Research
The Research & Development Directorate are committed to ensuring that research performed at the Royal Devon & Exeter Foundation NHS Trust (RD&E) is of the highest scientific and ethical standard, in order to protect the dignity and rights of patients.
External recognition of the quality of our research has included:

The RD&E hosts several teams who all work to support medical research in Exeter. These include:

-
The Research Design Service - provides researchers with practical advice on anything from what question their research project might ask, to how to get funding for it.
-
Folk.Us - support and help develop service user, patient and carer involvement in research.
-
The Peninsula Clinical Research Facility - provides vital services to assist the development of meaningful clinical research in the South West by providing clinicians, staff and academics with the facilities to carry out their research.
