This concerns the investigation and monitoring of disorders to the body's immune system and its role in infectious disease, parasitic infestations, allergies, tumour growth and bone marrow transplants. This department operates a fully licenced sterile facility to prepare and preserve bone marrow samples, used for example in the treatment of leukaemia.
