A-Z Services - Pathology

You are here: Home \ Patients & Visitors \ Diagnostics \ Pathology \ Blood Tests

Patients sometimes need to undergo blood tests to aid the diagnosis of illnesses. Blood tests are undertaken in our outpatient departments by phlebotomists.

The service provided by the RD&E Hospital is carried out in the Medical Outpatient Department on D1 and in the Centre for Women’s Health. To access the service, patients need a blood test referral form from their GP or consultant.

Clinic times are listed below. At the Centre for Women's Health clinic, patients are asked to take a ticket and wait for their turn to be called. At the Medical Outpatient Department patients are seen according to time of arrival.
