The Renal Dietitians
Who are we?
The renal dietitians work within the Exeter Renal Unit providing a specialist service to people with kidney disease. We are based on Sid ward and provide advice to both outpatients and inpatients.
Why is diet important in kidney disease?
Diet is an important part of the treatment in all stages of kidney disease and will be tailored to the individual patient. Changes to your diet can help to control the build up of waste products (such as salt, potassiumand phosphate) and fluid in your blood at the same time as providing adequate nutrition to prevent malnutrition.
