Last year (2006-07) at the RD&E (Wonford site only) we used approximately:
- 525,000 clinical waste bags
- 296,550 black / general waste bags
- 8,700 sanitary bags
- 83,025 packs of paper towels
- 7,610 bottles of powdered sanitiser
- 1,623 litres of liquid sanitiser (undiluted)
- 43,500 packs of toilet tissue
- 4,875 litres of hand soap
- 1,950 litres of general purpose liquid
- 15,000 disposable cloths
- 3,500 Disposable mops
- We spend approximately £225,000 per annum on these items.
- We also serve around 850,000 meals and just over 1.2 million beverages to patients per year
