The Community Estates Services department is a shared service of the Royal Devon & Exeter Foundation Trust, acting as an agent for the NHS Devon and the Devon Partnership Trust for all their Estate needs.
The department was established in 2001 following the dissolution of the Exeter & District Community Trust and the formation of the Primary Care Trusts and the Devon Partnership Trust.
Based at Newcourt House (see photo right) in Exeter, the team comprises of 12 Estate Officers, 9 Admin Staff, 4 Fire Officers and a range of further staff within the directly employed labour force.
The effective and efficient management of the estate is a key priority for the NHS and is essential for the delivery of high quality, patient centred services that are both affordable and sustainable.
