We are a small administrative unit based at Newcourt House and we maintain
computer records of the child population within the Exeter, East Devon and Mid Devon areas – including those who live outside those areas who attend G.P.s or Schools within them.
We have close links (including electronic) with Maternity, Paediatrics and most
Health Professionals dealing with children.
We are aided by the Child Health System – containing the facilities for the complete management of health care, including scheduling for immunisations, pre-school developmental checks, medical examinations and the compilation of comprehensive statistical information.
Maternity, G.P.s, Health Visitors and School Health Nurses play a key role in helping us to keep our records up-to-date, and among the recipients of information from us are :
Registrars (of Births), Education Dept., Public Health Leads, O.N.S., Social Services Depts., Orthoptic Dept., Health Improvement Specialists, Bookstart
and many more.
