At the Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Centre we diagnose, treat, correct and repair bones, joints, muscles, ligaments and the spine.
We are proud of our international reputation for clinical excellence and innovation in this specialist field known as orthopaedics and rheumatology.
We provide:

specialist emergency trauma care when someone has a serious injury or wound, usually from an accident; and
-
planned treatment for patients with medical conditions affecting their health and wellbeing.
This centre has been based on our RD&E Wonford hospital site since 1997 but our skilled surgical team also performs surgery on ankles, shoulders, knees and elbows in community hospitals in Tiverton, Sidmouth, Exmouth and Axminster. This is called day case surgery and patients can return home the same day of their operation.
