Disability

The RD&E has tools and support services available to help patients with a disability or specific requirements during their stay in hospital.

 

Friends and Family Test

Information on our Friends and Family test, one of the ways in which we ask for patients' opinions.

 

Learning Disablility

The RD&E has a Learning Disability Liaison Nurse for advice or support

 

Access Support Card

Any patient or carer with a communication difficulty or disability can have the new Access Support Card. They will be able to show the bright yellow card to hospital reception staff on arrival for an appointment at the RD&E to indicate they will need extra support or assistance.

 

Bereavement Services

We provide sympathetic support and assistance to bereaved relatives and carers to help them through the procedures following the death of a patient at the hospital.
