A referral needs to be sent to the Mardon Neuro-rehabilitation Centre consultant. You will then have an assessment with the consultant. If the assessment indicates that this services if for you you will be placed on a waiting list for admission. If the assessment indicates that the service is not for you alternative recommendations will be sent back to the person who referred you.
When a date for admission becomes available you or your relatives/carers and referrers will be notified. An MNRC case manager will be allocated and the practical arrangements will be finalised for your arrival. Pre-admission visits by you and/or your family are encouraged and can be arranged by the service manager.
On admission you will be allocated a case manager to co-ordinate your stay and act as a primary contact for your family and/or carers and outside agencies. Once you are in the centre you will be re-assessed over a two to four week period by the multi-disciplinary team. A programme of rehabilitation will be devised for you which you will follow until you leave the centre.
